Program Oversight

Board of Directors -

1 meeting per month/ 10 X per year - 3 year appointment.

The affairs of this corporation will be under the direction of an Administrative Board.  The Administrative Board will be volunteers and not paid personnel of this corporation nor paid personnel of any agency and/or program receiving financial support from this corporation.

Allocation Committees -

4 nights commitment - in February/March.  This volunteer committee recommends the addition/deletion of agencies and/or programs to the Board.  This committee will make recommendations to the Board concerning allocations of campaign contributions.

Events

Day of Caring -

Volunteers are needed to provide "sweat equity" to those in need - senior homeowners and UW agencies.  14 volunteers in 2015 -  1 day

Dress a Child -

Volunteers become "Shopping Buddies" to assist school-age children spend their $100 allotment for thepurchase of school clothes prior to the opening of school.  159 children were assisted by 74 volunteers in 2015 - 1 evening

Stone Soup -

Volunteersare called upon to contriute an ingredient for the making of a quantity of Stone Soup that is then packaged and delivered to the Butte Emergency Food Bank.  This effort is in conjunction with the National Center for Appropriate Technology Garden Gleaning Project.  7 volunteers provided 71 containers in 2015 - 1 day.

Diaper and TP Drives -

Volunteers can assist by collecting these non-food stamp eligible commodities from fellow employees, social connections or organization members that will be distributed to food banks in Butte and Anaconda and UW agencies offering resident programs.  On going.
