Each year United Way of Butte and Anaconda, with volunteer shopping buddies, provides low income families assistance with school clothing for their children.
The Festival of Trees event raises money for the Butte and Anaconda United Way. It will involve more than 40 elaborately decorated trees in the Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse.
“If you look at these trees, when they’re lit and see them in the Butte Courthouse with the fresco ceilings, this is going to be a spectacular event,” said United Way Executive Director Juliann Crnich.
Early Child Intervention Services serves children with development delays and disabilities through a home visiting model for family education and support. They teach families and friends how to teach skills to children and adults with special needs. They work hard to ensure that children and adults in their program have the same opportunities that all Montanans have in education, in the community, in friendships and in life.
equips girls with valuable skills through programming focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), Outdoors and Life Skills. By offering STEM programming to the girls at the Butte Family YMCA, they intend to bridge the gender gap in STEM. Their efforts are aligned with the mission of the Girl Scouts to develop girls of of courage, confidence and character.
