United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities to advance the common good.  Our vision is to be a leader and catalyst for community change in the business of caring for others.

Believe in our communities!
When you give to United Way of Butte and Anaconda...It stays Local.

For 69 years we have provided service to our communities using our mission and vision statement as a guide.

Our focus is on:

  • Improving the HEALTH of individuals

Our methods used to meet our mission include solicitations for funding, collaborations with other agencies and recruitment of volunteers

For many of these agencies, we are the sole stable financial source for their programs.  For others, we providefinancial support for supplemental programs needed to meet the total needs of their clients.  We also sponsor five community events.  Three of these annual events helplow-income families dress their children, provide new moms and moms-to-be with needed supplies for their babies and deliver nutritional soup that has been assembled and prepared byvolunteers.  Two community programs do not have a financial component.  In these we sponsor a fun, educational event for children in the elementary grades and provide volunteer physical help to homeowners whose abilities are limited and to other non-profits withlimited finances.

We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and rely heavily on community volunteers for the success of our programs.

Together we can show what it means to
