#GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities.  It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners - nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals - to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness.

As a global movement, #GivingTuesday unites countries around the world by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.

  • #GivingTuesday has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in countries around the world.  Millions of people have come together to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.

  • We have two days for getting deals - Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  On #GivingTuesday, we have a day for giving back.  Together, people are creating a new ritual for our annual calendar.  #GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season.

  • Every act of generosity counts and each means even more when we give together.  #GivingTuesday includes people of all ethnicitiesm religions and backgrounds.

  • Everyone has something to give.  You can give time or expertise, monetary donations - large or small, simple acts of kindness, food or clothing.
